Personalised online therapy and counselling

How can I help you?

My core focus is anxiety and self-esteem — the two threads that, in my experience, sit underneath a great many of the difficulties people bring to therapy. Whether it shows up as a relationship under strain, a struggle with addiction, or the unsettled feeling that often comes with a major life transition, anxiety is very often the thread running through it. I’ve found that addressing it directly tends to be the most effective place to start, whatever the surface problem looks like.

This is the lens I bring across a few key areas:

  • Individual Psychotherapy: Working through anxiety, low self-esteem, mood difficulties, and the stress of complex life transitions.
  • Self-Esteem & Identity: Rebuilding a stronger, more stable sense of self-worth, and a steadier relationship with yourself.
  • Couples & Marriage Counselling: Relationship conflict is frequently fuelled by anxiety-driven patterns — I help couples recognise these and rebuild communication from a calmer footing.
  • Addiction Counselling: Addictive behaviours are often rooted in unmanaged anxiety; I focus on that root alongside the cycle itself.
  • Mid-Life Crisis Counselling: The identity questions and unease of this stage are, at their core, frequently anxiety in a different form — we work through them together.

Why online therapy?

A private space, entirely your own.

Sessions happen wherever you choose, with none of the chance encounters that can come with an in-person waiting room.

Flexibility that fits your life.

Online sessions mean no commute and no waiting room — just log in from a space where you feel comfortable.

Just as effective as in-person care.

Research consistently shows that CBT and other evidence-based approaches work as well online as they do face-to-face.

Ritaja Pakrashi, MSc

I believe good counselling starts with honesty — including about what I can and can’t help with. If what you need is beyond what I’m equipped to offer, I shall guide you to find the right kind of support that you need, rather than continuing sessions that aren’t actually serving you.

I hold an MSc in Applied Psychology from Pondicherry University (2017–2019), graduating at the top of my class, and achieved the highest grade in the foundational Indian Association of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (IACBT) course (2021). I’ve spent over 1,000 hours working directly with clients on the stress, anxiety, and personal difficulties that show up in everyday life.

A standard session lasting 90 minutes is ₹4,000 ( $40 / £40 / €40), held over Google Meet. Therapy works best as a shared effort, and mastery is something we build together, one session at a time. Alongside our scheduled sessions, I’m reachable for support through much of the day if something comes up in between. I hope to help you on your journey towards achieving mastery that you have sought in your life.

I found Ritaja through a friend, and I'm so grateful I did. After a long search and several therapists who weren't the right fit and honestly left me feeling a little hopeless, I finally found someone who restored my faith in the process.
